Around February or March i took a couple handfuls of compost and filled a small pot.
I placed the bottom of the cutting about 2 inches in the soil and placed a zip lock bag over the pot to keep the humidity up, then I placed a heating mat under the pot to keep the soil warm during the cold periods.I kept it under 4 100w 5600k cfl lights that i mounted inside a small hollowed out file cabinet that I use in my garage for staring new plants.
I would never let the soil dry out and i would only use rain water when it needed watering.
The hardest part was just waiting, but after about a month or so it started growing new leafs and i was so happy.
