It has been about 20 years since I last tasted this as an offering from a local couple when I lived across from Sunset Beach, Oahu and this Kava takes me back in a very pleasant way. Their Kava was quite a bit more potent, but that is not really a bad thing since theirs always sent me for a loop and made it very annoying to have to get up off of the couch. This Kava is the perfect strength for me - 1 tbsp/1 cup water with a dash of olive oil as per suggestion is an exquisite thing to come home to after a hard day's work. I still find the flavor unpleasant, but the splendid relaxation more than makes up that. I recommend the product highly, though I wish I had that old couple's recipe for preparing the Kava, all I ever got was a stone dish with the beverage presented to me after dinner and conversation, I never once saw the Kava or how they made it. They actually cultivated their own patch somewhere on the island, but of course I never saw that either. If you have never tried Kava this is perfect for an introduction, but buy more than the sample pack as it really is more enjoyable after you have drank it two or three time previously.
