This is an update. i ordered these seeds and seed pods a little while back. it is very hard to find cheap and VIABLE seeds of this variety on the net. so i am very happy with what i got from this site. I placed several seeds in a petri dish on cotton disk with water and a tiny bit of bleach. i kept them in my incubator with light temp around 85F all the time, light was 12:12.
i also had the same setup with about 2000ppm Gibberalic acid. then i had some with out or with light with or with out gaa and then a few placed in dirt after a 24-48 hour soak in gaa + or - solution at about 85F.
Well the results are in! i am sooo very pleased. i was worried at first when a week passed and i had nothing. but then suddenly right when i was giving up at 1.5 weeks i woke up to at least 50% of the seeds in one treatment group germinated! over the next 3 days all of them but one (treatment group had about 15 in it) were germinated. i placed them in small plastic dixie cups with holes in the bottom and a potting soil, perlite, verm mix (4:2:0.5). these were placed directly under some compact fluorescent lights (100w equivalent). nice!
so as of today the first wave of several treatments and about 40 seeds gave rise to about 35 plants. unfortunately i over-watered them killing many, and then while away from home, the others dried out from lack of watering.... so ive started another wave of seeds this time knowing exactly how to germinate them and then actually grow them. thankfully this site has the seeds for a fantastic price so i could afford this.
The treatment i found to be by far the best for these seeds was:
48 hour soak of seeds in a plastic dixie cup with 2000 ppm Gibberalic acid. with 12:12 light (because thats how my green house is right now) and a constant 80-85F temperature. after the soak placing in a petri dish with paper towel/cotton disk with 500 to 1000 ppm GAA and a drop of bleach until germination. or instead of the petri dish they can be placed in a small pot and watered with a 500-2000ppm gaa often enough to keep soil moist.
after germination do not soak the soil!
sorry for the long review not to mention how messy it is. im just so happy with the product. thank you!
