Wild Dagga needs to be harvested at a critical time in it's flowering stage to get the most of it's alkaloids. When the flowers become sticky- this is the time to pick them. They should be dried slowly in shade over a period of a few days. Once the flowers and leaves are dried, they are not ready to use. We did the work for you, all you have to do now is Enjoy!

Wild dagga (L. Leonurus), also known as Lion's tail, is closely related to Klip dagga (L. Nepetifolia). Both are similar in that they have gorgeous bright orange flower clusters and are used similarly as medicinals for things like stress relief, fever and cough. Wild dagga is one of several herbs traditionally used by the Xhosa tribe of South Africa. Its active constituent is called leonurine.
